The Frank Perkins Parkway was closed in Peterborough due to a lorry fire.

Cambridgeshire police tweeted that the road was closed between the Eye Roundabout and Oxney Road.
Asked for further information, a police spokesman said: “Police were called today at 10.38am to reports of a lorry on fire on the A1139 Frank Perkins Parkway in Peterborough.

Hide Ad“Officers attended and assisted with traffic control while the fire service extinguished the blaze. The road was closed whilst the vehicle was recovered but has since re-opened. No one was injured.”
He added that the slip road towards Sainsbury’s remains closed while the vehicle is recovered.
The road was closed earlier this morning at Boongate due to concerns for a person.
