A charity in Peterborough which is supporting the city’s rough sleepers has made an appeal for food donations after stating that its supplies are “under intense pressure”.

The Garden House in the Cathedral Precincts, which offers support and shelter for homeless people in Peterborough, and has played a leading role during the coronavirus pandemic, posted on Facebook: “Once again our food cupboards are under intense pressure.

“If you would like to help fill our shelves please telephone the Garden House on 01733-560031 and James can tell you what we most need.

“This is street food that can be given to a Rough Sleeper coming to see us for help where there are no cooking facilities available to them.”
