Firefighters tackle fence fire in Peterborough

Firefighters put out a fence fire in Peterborough this week (February 24).

On Wednesday afternoon, fire crews attended an incident in Princes Street, to reports that a fence was on fire.

The crews were able to use their onboard hose reels to put out the fire.

A statement from Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service said: “On Wednesday (24) at 1.38pm, one crew from Dogsthorpe was called to a fence fire on Princes Street, Park ward.

“Firefighters used a hose reel to extinguish the fire, before returning to their stations by 2pm.

“The cause of the fire was accidental.”
