The drone camera was deployed by Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service when the inferno started at a building in the Eastwood Industrial Estate in Wimblington on Monday, March 29.

More than 50 firefighters, including crews from March, Chatteris, Wisbech, Ely, Ramsey, Huntingdon, Dogsthorpe, Stanground and Cottenham, along with the north roaming fire engine, attended the scene at the peak of the blaze. Crews worked hard to extinguish the fire and stop it spreading to other buildings. They were also assisted by staff at the site who used diggers to break up the bales of paper.

The A141 was closed for some time, but reopened at around 6pm that evening.

The fire was started accidentally.
