Two men have been charged with a number of offences in connection with a series of aggravated burglaries in Wisbech that happened earlier this month.

Police said that two burglaries happened on 22 January and one on 23 January in Medworth ward in the town, although no further details about the burglaries have been released by the force.

Cambridgeshire Police said that William Hughes, (26), of New Drove, Wisbech, and Marcus Ellis (28) of Park Road, Wisbech will appear in court today to face a number of charges.

Hughes is charged with two counts of aggravated burglary, four counts of burglary, fraud by false representation, and taking a motor vehicle without the owner’s consent.

Ellis is charged with aggravated burglary, burglary, fraud by false representation, and taking a motor vehicle without the owner’s consent.Police said that both men are due to appear at Huntingdon Magistrates’ Court today (26 January).
