Stanground Academy is calling all future students to mark their calendars for Thursday, September 28, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM – because it's time to experience the school like never before at the Year 5 & 6 Open Evening.

Recently graded GOOD in an Ofsted inspection, the school is more dedicated than ever to providing an exceptional education experience. As well as academic success, there is a wide ranging extra-curricular programme from sports to the arts, which will be showcased around the academy during open evening.

Principal's Welcome: Join a warm welcome from the Principal who will share a vision of the world-class educational journey, as this is what makes the academy so special; this takes place at 5:00pm and 6:30pm.

About Stanground Academy

The Stanground Academy opened in 2012 in the existing buildings of the former Stanground College. A major capital building programme costing £24m was completed in September 2013 and now provides state-of-the-art buildings and facilities for students and staff. These fantastic buildings provide high-quality academic, vocational and sports facilities.

The school provides 11-19 education for up to 1800 pupils, offering a full comprehensive curriculum, including GCSEs and A-levels and associated vocational courses, the Academy is designed for students of all abilities. A high level of examination success is expected and achieved by the vast majority of pupils. GCSE outcomes for 2023 were significantly ahead of national levels.

This Academy is sponsored by the Greenwood Academies Trust which was formed in 2009 and now educates approximately 17,000 pupils across seven local authority areas including Nottingham City, Nottinghamshire, Leicester City, Northamptonshire, Peterborough, Lincolnshire and Central Bedfordshire.
