Students and their families gathered at the Academy, part of Brooke Weston Trust, to receive their grades and discuss their future pathways. While many are choosing to continue their education at the Thomas Clarkson Academy Sixth Form, others are progressing to college courses, apprenticeships, and further training.

“We are delighted that our students have done so well this year. Our fantastic students have been rewarded for all the hard work they have put in over many years. It is brilliant that so many are continuing their learning journey with us into the 6th form. I am so proud of this group of young people; they are a credit to their families and positive role models for our community. Watching and guiding them as they grow up has been an absolute privilege, and we wish all our students the best for their next steps.”

Ben Vine, Raising Standards Leader for Year 11, added: “I am incredibly proud of this year group. They have been an amazing cohort, always ready to learn and keen to support one another throughout their studies. It has been a true joy to see them develop into such confident individuals, and I hope they leave today knowing that they can be the best versions of themselves and achieve more than they ever thought possible. I am excited to see where their individual paths take them next and how each of them will make their own mark.”

A number of students have achieved outstanding personal success this year. Among them:

  • Emma Davies-Ferneé who achieved eight grade 9’s as well as a Level 2 Distinction*

  • Emilija Buivydaite who achieved a Level 2 Distinction*, five grade 9’s, three grade 8’s and a grade 7

  • Tobias Blackwell who achieved four grade 9’s and six grade 8’s

  • Max Shepherd who achieved six grade 9’s, one grade 8, two grade 7’s and a grade 6.

The year group has also seen great success in securing competitive pathways, with students gaining places on specialised apprenticeships, as well as many choosing to stay at Thomas Clarkson Academy to continue with their Post-16 studies. A notable example includes Maksym Kachanenko, who has secured a place at Thomas Clarkson Academy to study A-Level Maths,

Chemistry and Physics as well as A-Level Polish and Russian. Elissa Green and Hannah Key are continuing with their love of Dance and are excited to study Contemporary Dance at Peterborough Regional College.

Andy Burns, newly appointed CEO of Brooke Weston Trust, said: “Today, all of our students should feel really proud of everything they’ve achieved. They’ve explored new subjects, built friendships, and discovered passions over the past few years, which is what school is truly all about.

I am also very grateful to all our families who have provided such vital support along the way.

“At Brooke Weston Trust, we value more than just grades; we believe that success is reached in many different ways, and I can’t wait to see where these achievements take our students in the future.”
