The BRDG in Peterborough is hosting a special GCSE Results Day careers event, giving young people the opportunity to explore their options and get support with their next steps.
The GCSE Results Day Careers Event – Discovering Your Next Chapter will take place at The BRDG, 61 Bridge Street, Peterborough, on Thursday 20 August 2026, from 11.30am to 4.00pm.
The BRDG, powered by Inspire Education Group (IEG), will welcome young people receiving their GCSE results who may be considering their next move, whether that is further education, an apprenticeship, employment or another route.
With no booking required, young people and their families can drop in throughout the day to speak to advisers, browse stands and ask questions about the different opportunities and pathways available to them.
The event will bring together a range of organisations and services from across Peterborough, providing careers information, advice and guidance in one accessible city-centre location.
Representatives from Reed in Partnership, Inspire Education Group's Peterborough College, Peterborough City Council, Nacro Education Peterborough, Compass Group UK & Ireland, and JobSmart Peterborough will be involved, alongside support and information around apprenticeships and supported internships.
The event is designed to help young people understand the different pathways available after GCSEs, including those who may be reconsidering their original plans after receiving their results.
Whether visitors already know what they would like to do next or are unsure where to start, they will be able to have informal conversations, ask questions and explore the opportunities available to them locally.
The message behind the event is simple: whatever your results, there is a pathway for you.
