Step inside inspiring new show home at Violet Meadows development in Whittlesey
Allison Homes Central is inviting homebuyers to discover the design potential of a brand-new home, following the unveiling of its stylish four bedroom Cheltenham show home at Violet Meadows in Whittlesey.

The homebuilder has partnered with Artspace Interior Design for the first time to create an interior scheme that combines relaxed countryside living with refined, contemporary touches.
Designed with growing families and second steppers in mind, the Cheltenham showcases how thoughtful layouts, calming colours and layered textures can transform a new-build property into a welcoming and characterful home.

The interiors take inspiration from Violet Meadows’ semi-rural Fenland setting, using warm neutrals, chalky blues, natural wood finishes and subtle gold accents to reflect the surrounding landscape.
Katie from Artspace Interior Design explained: “We wanted the design to tell the story of relaxed countryside living with a refined edge. The interiors were created to feel calm, welcoming and aspirational, balancing the practicalities of family life with moments of comfort and retreat.
“Our aim was to create a timeless and elegant home that feels luxurious while remaining warm, relatable and achievable for prospective buyers.”
The finished scheme combines an attainable traditional style with a subtle sense of Scandinavian calm. Practical furniture layouts, durable materials, versatile pieces, carefully selected finishes and thoughtfully planned lighting demonstrate how every room can function effectively without compromising on warmth, comfort or personality.
The main bedroom features soft textures, elegant wallpaper details and a hotel-inspired finish, creating an indulgent but achievable space where buyers can imagine unwinding at the end of the day.
Each of the additional bedrooms has also been given its own identity. One children’s room features an archaeology-inspired theme, designed to encourage imagination and adventure, while another has been styled for an aspiring journalist, using artwork and carefully selected accessories to suggest creativity and ambition.
The fourth bedroom has been transformed into a versatile study and guest space, complete with a day bed, demonstrating how homeowners can create a room that adapts to working, hobbies and overnight visitors.
Katie continued: “We’re particularly proud of the way artwork and styling have been used to give each room its own personality and narrative. Rather than treating the bedrooms as generic spaces, we created individual stories for the people who might live there. These personal touches help visitors imagine not just how the home looks, but how it could feel to live there.”
The scheme reflects several popular interior trends, including textured wallcoverings, soft earthy neutrals, panelling, bespoke joinery and multifunctional spaces. Bouclé fabrics, woven materials, upholstered furniture, linens and wool throws have also been layered throughout the home to add warmth and depth.
For homeowners hoping to bring the polished appearance of a show home into their own property, Artspace Interior Design recommends beginning with a cohesive colour palette and building the scheme gradually.
Katie said: “Start with a simple palette that flows throughout the home, then introduce layers of texture through fabrics, wallpaper, artwork and accessories. Quality window treatments and lighting can make a significant difference, while one or two statement pieces will create a focal point without overwhelming the room.
“It’s also important to keep spaces uncluttered and consider how each room will be used. A successful interior should feel inviting and beautifully styled, but it must also work for everyday life.”
Kelly Toms, Sales and Marketing Director at Allison Homes Central, said: “The new Cheltenham show home beautifully demonstrates the possibilities offered by a new Allison home and how buyers can make each space their own.
“Artspace Interior Design has created a scheme that feels sophisticated and aspirational, but also incredibly warm and liveable. Every room has been carefully considered, from the flexible study and guest bedroom to the imaginative children’s spaces and relaxing main bedroom.
“We hope visitors leave feeling inspired and full of ideas for how they could decorate and personalise their own home at Violet Meadows.”
