Marion, 95, attends her first-ever prom at her Brampton care home
Birthday girl Marion Lomas celebrated her 95th in style by attending her first-ever prom at Montague House Care Home.

The team at the home on Keeling Lane went all out to create the magical event to prove that school-leaving youngsters aren’t the only generation who can party at prom.

Wellbeing Lead Rosemarie Parks and her colleagues brought the sparkle to Montague House and Marion was thrilled to be serenaded by singer Simon Harris of Sunset Magic.
Marion said of Simon’s serenade: “Oh, what a lovely surprise!”

Residents, colleagues and visitors filled the dance floor as Simon sang a collection of hits at the fun-packed event, which also boasted a red carpet, photo booth and props.
The happy occasion was a big success with the revellers, who loved the glitz and glamour of their in-house prom.

Resident Ian Godfrey, 94, said: “I've never been to a prom before, but I will again."
Visitor Gwen Gill added: “What a lot of fun everybody gets to have here."
For the team, it was terrific to see how much the residents enjoyed getting the full prom experience in the comfort of their own home.
Home Manager Paula Yorkston Toy said: “A lot of our residents have heard about prom through their grandchildren and friends, so now it was their turn. It was such great fun getting dressed up and having our photos taken. The residents filled the dance floor very quickly!”
