From Hogwarts to the Caribbean, from galaxies far, far away to the Pride Lands, audiences are invited to experience the most iconic film themes of all time in The Best Of Hans Zimmer & Film Favourites at Peterborough Cathedral on Saturday 19th September - a breathtaking orchestral event bringing their favourite cinematic worlds to life.

Performed by candlelight with a spectacular light show and featuring unforgettable music from films including Harry Potter, Star Wars, Gladiator, The Lion King, Frozen, Interstellar, Pirates of the Caribbean, James Bond, E.T., Jaws, Schindler's List and many more, this promises to be one of the region's most popular live entertainment events this autumn.

Combining the spine-tingling sound of a live orchestra with the power of massed voices—more than 70 musicians and singers performing together in total—and specially-crafted musical arrangements created exclusively for the performance, this spellbinding experience will re-imagine all the drama, excitement and emotion of these legendary movie scores.

Audiences will embark on an unforgettable journey through some of cinema's greatest stories—from ancient Rome and adventures on the high seas to magical worlds inhabited by wizards and dragons—experiencing the epic battles, soaring triumphs, heartbreaking losses and unforgettable moments that have captivated generations of film lovers.

With almost 1,000 tickets already sold and limited availability across the early performance (7pm), excitement is building rapidly and, following the outstanding success of last year's event, organisers expect a capacity audience and advise booking early to avoid disappointment.

"An amazing, incredible event. Thank you for the hard work, dedication and boundless talent that has brought so much joy to so many people!"

From lifelong movie lovers to families seeking a memorable evening out and everyone in between, this cinematic spectacular offers audiences from across the city and beyond the chance to experience iconic film scores performed live against the dramatic backdrop of Peterborough Cathedral.

"It’s about creating a memory, not just putting on a concert," say the organisers. "We want audiences to feel like they've stepped inside the films they love—surrounded by incredible music, spectacular lighting and the atmosphere of a truly special venue. This is a cinematic experience that will stir the emotions, ignite the imagination and stay with you long after the final note has faded."
