Redrow South Midlands, currently building at Alconbury Weald II in Huntingdon, All Saints Gardens in Barrington, and Tudor Meadow in Sawston, has launched a £12,000 fund to support local groups, organisations and individuals – and is now welcoming applications.

There’s no cause too small, so whether it’s funding for gardening tools to support a school eco-project, new kit for a grassroots sports team or assistance to a community centre to run classes, the housebuilder’s initiative can help.

The annual scheme, which started in 2019, provides local organisations with specific donations and gives them the tools they need to continue to thrive. So far, Redrow South Midlands has donated a total of £62,000 to worthy causes – and is now looking for new recipients to receive a share of this year’s fund.

Elizabeth Carter, Sales Manager for Redrow South Midlands, said: “We’re incredibly proud to be building on the success of our previous community funds with a new £12,000 pot, helping us to support even more inspiring local projects and organisations.

“At Redrow, we’re passionate about creating thriving communities, not just through the homes we build, but by investing in the people and groups that make our neighbourhoods great places to live. We want to hear about the projects and groups that matter most to local people and understand where our support can have the greatest impact.

“We know that even a small amount of funding can have a lasting impact, whether it’s art supplies for workshops, helping to buy tools for a community garden, or bringing people together through shared experiences.

“We’re excited to hear from people across Cambridgeshire and can’t wait to see the projects this year’s fund will bring to life.”

The scheme will open on Monday 13 July and will close at midnight on Friday 25 September. For details on how to apply, please email [email protected].

Cambridgeshire is a well-connected location, with accessible transport links to London for busy commuters, and Redrow South Midlands is offering a choice of three to five-bedroom homes for those with growing families.
