Club With No Name brings Chinese punk band to Peterborough

Always being keen supporters of the local music scene, Club With No Name this Friday (17th) are bringing you yet another very promising new band from just down the road ...Qingdao, it's in China! ...yes, just 9,193 miles down the road in fact!

Hosting their event at Charters Bar, Town Bridge, CWNN have Dummy Toys, who are playing just four shows in the UK as part of their extensive European 2024 tour.

Dummy Toys are an all-female band who play fast and furious street-punk like their lives depend on it, and back home it often does, it's not easy being a punk in China!

The girls formed the band in 2018 and have been tearing up stages across the world ever since, last year saw them make their debut UK appearance at the world renowned Rebellion Festival in Blackpool and they impressed the crowds there so much, they were immediately invited back. The girls currently have two albums out, available from bandcamp, other streaming sites and even on vinyl made from recycled pellets.

Support for the evening comes from The Rankers, Peterborough’s finest if not only, hardcore punk and oi! band, who will be making a rare hometown appearance. Plus, DJs Simon and Sherrie will be bringing a trunk of classic punk vinyl with the odd surprise thrown in too!

Doors open at 10pm and tickets are available at www.charters-bar.com or from www.buytickets.at/clubwithnoname for £9 (more on the door).
