Alternative sonic psych-punk duo headlining at Peterborough's Lime Tree pub
Fast-rising Manchester-based duo The Dirt headline as the Club With No Name returns to The Lime Tree pub in Paston Lane, Peterborough, on Friday (May 1).
The band are a transglobal collaboration between Japanese musician Sachiko and partner Jack, aka 'Leon The Pig Farmer', the notorious spoken word artist.
As a band they combine psychedelic shoe gaze guitars, electronic rhythms and abrasive spoken verse to a full on genre bending effect. It's sonic psychedelic punk, blending guitar loops, punchy percussion and fast firing lyrics. A unique repetitive drone, flirting with surf guitars and ear-splitting pedals effects against a wall of dance beats that'll leave you in a trance...
They'll be joined on the night by Peterborough's very own The Fyzz Wallis Band with their alternative take on punk pop rock, a sound that draws on the storytelling of folksong, the singalong choruses of indie and all the passion of the riot grrl scene.

Opening the evening’s event are three well known and indeed very well-respected local musicians appearing under the name of Celebrating Bad Brains, playing some of their favourite tracks by and paying tribute to one of their favourite bands, Bad Brains.
Doors open at 7.30 and advance tickets are just £8 or you can pay on the door. Advance tickets are available from www.buytickets.at/clubwithnoname
