Peterborough Police Boxing Club stars of the past and the present have been in top form
Former Peterborough Police Club boxing star Amelia Kennedy has won a National title.
Kennedy has recently joined the RAF Boxing team and claimed the senior National Elite Under 54kg title after winning four consecutive bouts in dominant fashion to secure a prestigious belt. Her success is a testament to her dedication and progression within the sport.

Kennedy returned to the club following her victory, taking time to speak with and inspire the next generation of young boxers. Her journey and recent success provided a powerful example of what can be achieved through commitment and hard work.
Alfie Baker represented the club in the Senior Elite Championships recently, narrowly losing by a 3–2 split decision in the quarter finals to an experienced London champion. Despite the result, it marked an excellent debut at senior level, with Baker demonstrating his potential against top opposition.

There was, however, success for Police Club fighter Eoin McDonagh, who competed on the Church Show. In a re-match against an opponent who had previously beaten him, McDonagh produced a composed and skilful display to secure a unanimous points victory, showing clear improvement and maturity in his boxing.
Away from the ring, 17-year-old Reggie Baker, a student at Stanground Academy, delivered an outstanding performance at the London Landmarks Half Marathon. Competing in the 17–19 age category, Baker recorded an impressive time of 1 hour 28 minutes, finishing fifth in his category — a remarkable achievement, particularly given his limited preparation.
