PACTRAC athletes recorded a string of second best times in Milton Keynes
PACTRAC sent four athletes to a triathlon meeting in Milton Keynes and all finished second in their age groups.
In the Standard Distance Triathlon, Steph Fordham was in second place for most of her race, while Laura Porter moved up to second on the run.

In the accompanying Aquabike (swim, bike) Rob Hammond just missed out on a podium position overall in a tightly fought race. Hammond set off on the bike in sixth place overall, and caught two bikers ahead of him.
He was catching third place, but just ran out of road and came in four seconds adrift, while a cyclist behind made inroads and Rob just held onto fourth by a fraction of a second after a tense sprint for the line. Hammond finished runner-up in the age group contest.
Harriet Lomas took a good lead on the swim, only to see it eroded on the bike, as she was caught 150 metres from the line and had to settle for second by a margin of six seconds.
Times: Steph Fordham 3:01:04; Laura Porter 3:44:25; Rob Hammond 1:48:55; Harriet Lomas :56:44 AG 2.
And five PACTRACers competed in the local half-Ironman distance Vitruvian Triathlon at Rutland Water. Jack Shipton led the team home, while Ros Goatly was third in her age group after finishing in seven hours and eight minutes.
Times: Jack Shipton 5:05:37; Chris Pithey 5:20:45 AG 22; Jacob Richardson 5:21:39; Rod Hall 6:56:58; Ros Goatly 7:08:36
