It’s fair to say ‘exceeded all expectations’ and and ‘on course for a great career’ would be applicable for many individuals.
Here are the PT gradings for the season so far.
13. KWAME POKU: A-
Nine goals and seven assists this season are not numbers that flatter a wing wizard who can also be effective in the 'number 10’ role. Photo: Joe Dent
14. ARCHIE COLLINS: A-
The summer signing has been even better than his manager and chairman dared expect, probably. He is the complete midfield package. He passes well, he tackles well, he reads the game well and he’s chipped in with useful goals. Photo: Joe Dent
15. HECTOR KYPRIANOU: A
Darren Ferguson has turned Kyprianou into a full Cypriot international as well as a midfield monster in their 12 months together. An outstanding technician and passer of the ball. Well-timed runs into the penalty area have also led to a few goals. Photo: Joe Dent
16. RONNIE EDWARDS: A+
The 20 year-old is now so good we are in danger of taking his excellence for granted. He’s always been brilliant on the ball, but he’s now also a tough, robust central defender. He’s started every League One game this season so add durable to his long list of attributes. Photo: Joe Dent
