It’s fair to say ‘exceeded all expectations’ and and ‘on course for a great career’ would be applicable for many individuals.
Here are the PT gradings for the season so far.
17. DEPARTED PLAYERS: B & D
A ‘B’ for Peter Kioso (pictured) who has sadly left Posh and returned to Rotherham after some dynamic displays and some inspirational pieces of captaincy. A ‘D’ for Zak Sturge who has returned to Chelsea after Posh ended his disappointing loan spell at London Road. Photo: David Lowndes
18. OTHERS
Others to have started games for Posh this season...Kai Corbett, James Dornelly, Emmanuel Fernandez (pictured), Jeando Fuchs, Harley Mills, Malik Mothersille, Donay O’Brien-Brady, Joe Tomlinson and Kabongo Tshimanga. Photo: Joe Dent
19. DARREN FERGUSON: A
The manager has created some top Posh teams in his time, but the 2023-24 version has been as good as any. It’s all the more impressive because it’s been so unexpected after shedding some proven League One players in favour of younger, less experienced performers. But their brand of ‘no-fear’ (eat your heart out Wayne Rooney) attacking football has been a joy to watch, if a little nerve-shredding at times when they try and play themselves out from the back. We love it though and long may it continue! Photo: Joe Dent
