It’s fair to say ‘exceeded all expectations’ and and ‘on course for a great career’ would be applicable for many individuals.
Here are the PT gradings for the season so far.
5. DAVID AJIBOYE: C+
He has delivered some impressive cameos from the bench including a superb goal against Lincoln City and a key assist on the winning goal at Shrewsbury. Quick and direct and can deliver a quality cross. He can be expected to make more key contributions in the remainder of the season. Photo: Joe Dent
6. FYNN TALLEY: B-
He’s been pretty good in his seven starts in goal. He lacks Nicholas Bilokapic’s quality and comfort on the ball, but his shot-stopping, which should still count for a lot in a keeper, has been consistently strong. He’s a penalty-saving expert, helping Posh to win two shootouts this season and saving one on his Football League debut on New Year’s Day. Photo: Joe Dent
7. NICHOLAS BILOKAPIC: B-
The first-choice goalkeeper had found his best form of the season when suffering a knee injury on December 29. He has largely been very good with the ball at his feet (Salford in the FA Cup aside) and his handling has been decent (Cobblers away aside). Photo: Joe Dent
8. RICKY-JADE JONES: B-
What a menace this fleet-footed forward has been since knocking a double League One Golden Boot winner out of the starting line-up. He’s scored at a decent rate in the last couple of months and he could be some player once he improves his one-on-one finishing and his hold-up play. Photo: DAVID LOWNDES
