'We are giving away too many cheap games' insists Peterborough United midfielder

Peterborough United midfielder Matt Garbett has told teammates that they are giving away too many cheap games.

Posh have now lost their last four matches and have only scored one in that time. The side are also out of all of the cup competitions and sit 21st in League One after 17 games.

The latest defeat came on Saturday when Posh were beaten 1-0 at home by Barnsley in the FA Cup second round.

After the match, Garbett said: “We were in the game for long periods of time up until the 75th-80th minute. They came out strong and worked us out and no teams are doing that, we need to find solutions.

“We are gutted to go out of the cup, we could have gone through and it would have been exciting for a lot of us but we are out and need to look at the positive and negatives and take that into Reading.

“You can’t get too high when things are high and you can’t get too low when things are low. It’s finding that balance of being humbled and grounded.

" We have a long season ahead of us still but we have to try and really pick it up now because it is December.

"We are giving away too many cheap games we could get results from and the lads know that. We are giving our all, it’s not like we’re going out there and half arsing it.”
