The war of words between feuding chairman has continued as Dale Vince makes it personal with Darragh MacAnthony over the Robbie Savage appointment
Robbie Savage insists his managerial move to Peterborough United was all handled correctly, despite more comments to the contrary from Forest Green owner Dale Vince on national radio on Thursday morning.
The new Posh boss is currently caught in the middle of warring chairmen with Vince accusing Posh owner Darragh MacAnthony of making an illegal approach to lure Savage to London Road.

No official report has been made to the FA, but Vince stepped up his attack on MacAnthony on TalkSPORT this morning claiming the Posh chairman himself spoke to Savage before permission had been received from Forest Green.
In an explosive interview Vince said: “I was wrong to think that Posh approached our manager after we refused permission and I was wrong to think Darragh may not know what is going on at his club because I’ve recently found out that the first approach came before we were asked for permission and it was made by Darragh himself.
"It was a phone call to Robbie after our game against Boston (on September 19, the day Posh sacked Luke Williams), which would have been about a week before the first approach to us. I found this out two days ago as Robbie told the club.
"It substantiates this was an illegal approach and undermines what Darragh has been saying about it not being true. I gave him the benefit of the doubt, but what we see now is that he was being untruthful.
"I have seen that Darragh is saying on his podcast that we should calm things down, but I dislike dishonesty whenever I bump into it.
“It is wrong and against the rules. It’s morally wrong as well. When it happens I just call it out. I think it would be better for football if it didn’t happen. I can’t do much more than just call it out when I see it and I’m content with that.”
Savage was questioned on the matter at his pre-match press conference ahead of Saturday’s League One game with Burton Albion at the Weston Homes Stadium. He wasn’t aware of Vince’s latest comments at the time of his interview.
Savage said: “Everything was done correctly. They are two people I loved working for and I have the utmost respect for Forest Green and Peterborough United. We have got football games to win, as Forest Green have.”
