Punters backing Peterborough United striker to win the League One Golden Boot
Peterborough United striker Harry Leonard has been heavily backed to win the League One Golden Boot this week.
They appear to be optimistic flutters as his goal in last weekend’s 3-1 win at Leicester City was just Leonard’s second in League One this season, although he has scored eight goals in all competitions.

But Chris Rogers a spokesman for betting comparison side Oddschecker said: “Harry Leonard has been well backed this week to top the League One goalscoring charts. The former Blackburn youth product is 33/1, cut from 50/1 to outscore the competition this season. Over half (53%) of top scorer bets this week favoured the 23-year-old."
Injured Reading striker Jack Marriott currently leads the division’s scoring charts with eight goals, followed by Kyle Wootton of Stockport who has seven.
Leonard took until November 8 to score his first League One goals last season, but finished up with 16 despite missing a month of the season after having a hernia operation.
Dominic Ballard of Leyton Orient won the Golden Boot last season with 23 goals to earn a move into the Championship with Bristol City.
Other Golden Boots odds: 3-1 Wootton, Joe Taylor (Huddersfield); 10-1 Marriott, Bim Pepple (Plymouth); 16-1 Jayden Wareham (Wycombe), Jamal Lowe (Sheff Wed); 25-1 Mark Harris (Oxford).
