Posh have signed their fair share of duds, including many that looked excellent purchases at the time of their arrival.
Here is a list of signings who didn’t live up to expectations, some supplied by Posh fans and others from PT Posh writer Alan Swann.
No members of the current Posh squad were considered.

13. PAUL MORAN
In 1994 Moran came straight to Posh from Spurs where he had been highly regarded as a young forward. In 1995 Moran went straight from Posh to non-league football after no goals and five appearances for the club.

14. MILTON GRAHAM
Like Moss and Green before him the tag of Posh record transfer purchase weighed heavily on this attacking midfielder. Posh paid Chester £72k for him in July 1989, but some modest performances were followed by a knee injury which forced his retirement after just 20 appearances and two goals.

15. GEORGE COOPER
Posh paid good money for this highly-rated midfielder from Crewe in January 2018 and he scored on his debut. But he couldn't hold on to a regular place in the side despite playing for Grant McCann, Steve Evans and Darren Ferguson and he left for Plymouth after just 16 Posh starts.

16. DENNIS PEARCE
This left-back was a Third Division title winner with Notts County when Barry Fry signed him for Posh in July 2001, but he managed just 13 starts in three years, mainly because he was always injured.
