Kirk said: "I have really enjoyed my time at the club as it has felt like a real family. It has been great to get to know the supporters, who have been brilliant with me, and to finish my career here following last year's promotion feels a great time for a new challenge."

Posh manager Jake Poole said: "Tara has played a massive part in the growth and success of Peterborough United Women and we are grateful for her contribution, not just on the pitch, but as a terrific team-mate and person to have within the squad.
