An early goal settled the contest and although Posh huffed and puffed they couldn’t find an equaliser despite creating a couple of great chances.
Too many individuals had off nights which is reflected in the player ratings.
RATINGS KEY: 10-Brilliant, 9-Outstanding, 8-Very Good, 7-Good, 6-Okay, 5-Poor, 4-Dreadful.

.
JOSEF BURSIK: No chance with the Gillingham goal. Made a fine save in added time, but otherwise it was just an exercise in kicking the ball 6.5
.
NATHAN THOMPSON: Picked up a deserved early booking, but settled down to play solidly, especially when moved to the centre of a back three. Tried hard to get attacks moving, but found little joy 6.5.
.
DAN BUTLER: His passing has become very inconsistent. His crossing was mixed in this game also, but there were a couple of good ones in there which went unrewarded. Defended well enough against a tricky winger in Jordan Graham 6.
.
FRANKIE KENT: Never looked happy under the aerial assault at the start of the game and he made some poor decisions when in possession of the ball. Defended well after the break, although the fire had gone from the Gillingham attack by then 6.
