Fearsome firepower is taking Peterborough United to the Championship and it was evident again tonight (April 16) as Posh beat local rivals Northampton Town 3-1 at the Weston Homes Stadium to move level on points with League One leaders Hull City and a massive eight points clear of third-placed Sunderland.
Here are the PT player and manager ratings for the game.
Ratings key: 10-Brilliant, 9-Outstanding, 8-Very Good, 7-Good, 6-Okay, 5-Poor, 4-Dreadful.
9.
SIRIKI DEMBELE: Stuck out on the wing and he didn't impose himself on the game at all. Came inside to help create the opening goal, but it was an ordinary effort overall by his standards. Substituted at 2-1 5.5
10.
SAMMIE SZMODICS: Two high-class finishes on his return to the side. Always a threat once his teammates started getting the ball to him 8. Photo: Midlands
11.
JONSON CLARKE-HARRIS: As he often has the top scorer came on strong in the second-half when he started winning his contests regularly. Cool penalty conversion to seal the points 7.
12.
HARRISON BURROWS (for Dembele, 62 mins): Looked bright and lively in his half hour on the pitch. Kept the ball intelligently and almost scored 7.
