Peterborough United want three more signings as they seek to put smiles back on fans' faces
Peterborough United chairman Darragh MacAnthony has hinted his club are still seeking three more summer signings.
Posh have already signed five new players since the end of last season, goalkeeper Collin Adeng-Ndi, defenders Tom O’Connor and Evan Weir, midfielder Harrison Jones and winger Owura Edwards.

None of them have yet cost a fee, but Posh remain mindful of shipping players out to make it easier to bring new ones in. Wingers Declan Frith, Abraham Odoh and Cian Hayes, defender George Nevett, midfielder Donay O’Brien-Brady plus forwards Chris Conn-Clarke, Brad Ihionvien and Klaidi Lolos are all on the transfer list, but all remain at London Road, for now.
MacAnthony revealed on social media on Wednesday that Posh are still seeking a number 6 to replace Archie Collins, a winger and a forward player. The chairman, and everyone else at the club, is determined to put smiles on fans’ faces after a poor couple of seasons.
MacAnthony on X said: “As horrible as last season finished, we had the core of a very good first 11 when fully fit and at it. And that was without the majority having a pre-season under the current manager. We feel many of players who signed last year will excel in year two and our youngsters like Bolu Shofowoke, Pat Sykut, Luca Mendonca and David Kamara will be also more advanced/improved thanks to their experience and minutes played last season.
“I appreciate a lot of fans are down on us as a club/team at moment due to how we finished after hitting 8th in league and other things on top. We have to now work our nuts off to fix that and get everybody smiling again and quickly. That’s the plan and we are all aligned in doing that.
“I’m really happy to have strengthened the back line and goalkeeper department as issues with injuries in those areas derailed us big time last season. Sam Hughes looks in tremendous shape also. We’d like another 6, winger and one more in attacking area of pitch, but they’ll take time and patience.
"It’s early, but I’m happy with the pieces and characters we have added so far.”
