I’m deploying the lesser-spotted 4-4-2 formation in the hope that more scoring chances are created than in the dismal display at Plymouth on Saturday.
9. JOEL RANDALL
Much was made of Randall's 'miss' at Plymouth, but the way he found space in the first place and created the shooting chance with a fine dribble was the attacking highlight of the Posh performance (admittedly it was a short list). I'm assuming Kwame Poku remains unavailable or he would fill my left midfield slot. Photo: Joe Dent
10. JACK MARRIOTT
For a start Clarke-Harris needs Marriott's movement alongside him. Also Marriott remains the best finisher in the squad and he has the ability to find space even within an in-form Sheffield Wednesday defence. Photo: Joe Dent/theposh.com
11. JONSON CLARKE-HARRIS
The captain needs to show a lot more than he did on Saturday. He's the sort who will respond well to criticism so I'm expecting a strong, committed showing on Tuesday. Joe Taylor and Ricky-Jade Jones have obvious promise, but they are not ready to lead a League One promotion push. Photo: Joe Dent/theposh.com
12. THE SUBSTITUTES
I'm leaving Edwards out of the matchday squad altogether to ensure he gets a breather. Youngster Charlie O'Connell can be the defensive cover in an emergency. Left-back Tomlinson, midfielders Fuchs and Kyprianou (pictured), forwards Taylor and Jones and goalkeeper Harvey Cartwright (if fit obviously) are on my bench. Photo: Joe Dent
