All marks are out of 10 and these averages are taken from the paper rather than online as ratings sometimes change after a period of reflection!
The players have also been graded school report style.
Ratings key: 10-Perfect, 9-Outstanding, 8-Very good, 7-Good, 6-Average, 5-Poor, 4 -Stinker.
In reverse order the average ratings were.....

9.
JOSH KNIGHT: Apps: 26. Average mark: 6.5. Best performance: v Accrington (home). A terrific athlete with strength and pace, but one who couldn’t command a regular starting place once he’d returned from a long injury. He lacked the quality on the ball of others in the squad which showed when he was given a rare start in a big game at Fleetwood. Contributed three goals, all against promotion rivals. GRADE: C+ Photo: Midlands

10.
REECE BROWN: Apps: 11. Average mark: 6.66. Best performance: v Portsmouth (home). The third January arrival alongside Taylor and Szmodics and, while he didn’t grab the attention like the other two, it was soon obvious he was a classy passer of the ball with fast feet that got him out of some tight situations. Kept possesion well and would have added goals to his game if he’d been given time. GRADE: B- Photo: Midlands

11.
MARK BEEVERS: Apps: 37. Average mark: 6.85. Best performance: v Rotherham (home). The experienced skipper was out of sorts at the start of the season when his lack of pace looked like being a problem, but he thrived when Posh moved to three centre-backs and he could organise matters from the middle of them. Beevers was playing strongly and had dominated some fine strikers when the season ended. GRADE: B- Photo: Midlands

12.
CHRISTY PYM: Apps: 44. Average mark: 6.9. Best performance: v Lincoln (home). There were a couple of howlers early on which led to questions being asked and his (lack of) height became an issue, but he soon won his critics over with a series of athletic and consistent displays. His 15 clean sheets was the best by a goalkeeper in League One. His distribution became better as the season wore on. GRADE: B. Photo: Midlands
