Posh will be without Frankie Kent as he is suspended.

Jonson Clarke-Harris is good to go after Grant McCann revealed that he did not train at all last week after limping through the Cambridge match.

McCann did not rule out Kwame Poku and Joe Ward but equally did not sound overly optimistic about their chances of playing.

Posh haven’t lost to Exeter since January 1999 in Division 3.

They’re unbeaten in their last six against the Grecians but the last league encounter was in 2011- with Posh winning 3-0.

The last visit to St James Park in league action away in 202 where it ended 2-2 but the day will be remembered for Lee Tomlin scoring his first goal for the club.

Brown had some interesting things to say about his time at the club and the club now

There will be goals

If the results so far this season are anything to go by, there will be goals in this one.

Exeter have scored 28 in 17 games but also let in 25.

Posh slightly better on both counts, 32 and 19.

Posh have the division’s top-scorer, JCH on 11 but Exeter have the third- Jevani Brown 8- and the fifth- Sam Nombe 7.

The ex-Posh man has really settled down and found his form since his attitude and off-field behaviour held him back at Posh.

Posh hope to have key men back

Exeter come into this one having lost three of their last 5 league games but they have had a tough run of fixtures and seem to have taken to life under Gary Caldwell nicely.

Picking up a point at Derby, playing very well at leaders Plymouth and beating Port Vale away in the FA Cup.

Last 5

Charlton 4-2 Exeter

Exeter 2-4 Oxford

Exeter 2-1 Fleewood

Derby 0-0 Exeter

Plymouth 4-2 Exeter

Tom Reeves ins today’s ref.

He did Posh’s last trip to Devon against Plymouth in August. Not a happy day that one.

McCann pleased with recent away performances- let’s hope it holds

Early start today as Posh make the long trip to Devon for a tricky-looking tie against an Exeter side who have looked a good side this season having only just come up.
