No Peterborough United fan needs reminding of the outcome the last time these sides played. So today faces quite a feat to live up to that.

Posh may be boosted by Kwame Poku’s first appearance of the season but the 20-year-old will face a late fitness test.

  • Posh looking to continue perfect home record
  • Kwame Poku could be fit to return
  • Lincoln unbeaten this season

This game comes too soon for Joel Randall after a fall on his shoulder on training before the Plymouth game.

There could be a first game of the season for Poku after a calf injury though. MaCann and his physios will make a late call but he looks certain to be involved on Tuesday against Steveage.

Posh sit second but Lincoln can boast something that Posh can not.

They are currently unbeaten having seen off Doncaster in the EFL Cup and having drawn 3 and won one of their league games.

This is almost certainly the first time a Peterborough United match has been refereed by a woman.

Rebecca Welch is the woman with the whistle.

She made history in 2021 becoming the first woman to be appointed referee of an EFL match - Harrogate vs Port Vale.

She is on FIFA and UEFA’s elite women’s list and has refereed wonen’s international matches in the past.

Speaking of the promotion, Darragh defends himself from Fergie’s criticism

Posh have started well despite a blip at Plymouth. They are going for a 5th win out of six games.

A victory today would be Posh’s 5th and to reach that mark last year it took until December 11th.

Posh have won two and drawn one of the last 3 times they have hosted Lincoln. The Imps’ last win at London Road came in Decemeber 2006.
