Peterborough United: Live Blog as Posh progress in EFL Trophy despite penalty shootout defeat to Wycombe

First real save for Stryjek. Great slide-rule pass into EMC on the left of the box, he touches it past his man and shoots low and makes the keeper save it with his legs.

Plenty of crosses going into the Wycombe box now, Posh finding it very easy to bring the ball forward. Final ball not been there though.

Posh popping the ball around nicely. When it gets into the final third though, Randall blasts a cross well over everyone.

Randall wins a corner after his cross is blocked. Burrows puts it into the box. The ball drops into a good area but Wycombe get the first toe on it with Watts closing in.

Two further corners are sent in, with Posh winning both at the far-post.

Watts should do better from the third, he’s all on his own but plants a header out of play, nowhere near anybody.

Posh starting to dominate the ball, Wycombe backing off and letting them shoot on most occasions. Kyprianou follows Marriott in blasting over though from around 30 yards out.

EMC doing some good defensive work so far in this game, not what Posh signed him for but has looked capable.

Posh growing into the game, Burrows tries a thorughball to Randall, he got free in a tight area with good feet but just overhits the pass and Stryjek gets out to claim.

First Posh attack, Tomlinson swings in a great ball towards EMC at the backpost, headed out for a corner.

Wycombe head out the corner though.

Iffy start from Posh, Tomlinson lays off a weak header back to Watts and Mellor intercepts and charges forward.

Good work from Ward on the left of the box bails him out.

Wycombe win a free-kick straight away. Wide on the left. Put out of play by Kaikai though.
