Peterborough United travel to face Wycombe Wanderers in League One action on Saturday (October 15).

The sides meet for the first time since the animosity between the fanbases when Wycombe voted themselves into the play-offs when Covid first struck.

Wycombe lost last season’s play-off final and have made a slow start this campaign and sit in 17th but they did win last time out at Oxford.

Posh will be without Kwame Poku, who is still struggling with an injury.

LIVE: Wycombe vs Posh

Key Events

  • 3pm kick-off
  • Posh sit 4th, Wycombe 17th
  • Kwame Poku out injured

Posh need to find more of a cutting-edge upfront. Ben Thomspon pumps a free-kick out of play, very wasteful again.

Thompson does well to get back and take the ball off Vokes with a shooting chance in the box after Posh waste a corner. Three short passes and Ben Thompson gets caught dithering on the edge of hos own box.

Great chance Wycomb! They break forward on the left, Vokes knocks the ball down for Mehmeti from close range and he blasts over. Great chance.

Better spell in the ball for Posh but Ward clips a cross straight into the keeper’s arms.

Shoots, deflected up and into the keeper’s arms.

Nothing sticking up top for Posh now, Knight is trying to drive them forward.

Yellow bot Voes, rash dive in on Butler from behind. Free kick middle of the goal about 40 yards out.

Wycombe seeing more of the ball in advanced areas, JCH very isolated.

Half not really got started, neither side with any control.

he’s trying to continue and does manage to clip a ball up for JCH to head so he might be ok.

Thompson in trouble now, looked an innocuous collision, may have twisted something.
