Peterborough United fans choose their next manager after agreeing with the sacking of Luke Williams

Posh went down 2-0 to Doncaster Rovers which ultimately cost Luke Williams his job so plenty for Posh fans to get their teeth into.

We also asked who they would like to see take over from Williams. Darren Ferguson has already ruled himself out.

All replies to @PTAlanSwann…

Regardless of what DMac was expecting in the background, any manager with a record akin to 5 league wins across a season should not and cannot survive. He signed his own warrant when he gave the impression of resenting that we'd won with a new formation which wasn't his – @NIge1Chapman.

Tough afternoon! The downward spiral started the moment Ferguson failed to get us promoted in 2024. Luke seems a decent bloke but the boo boys have got their wish. Players and recruitment equally to blame. Karl Robinson would be my choice – @davidwh1971

Absolutely the correct decision. He had no plan B, no personality and the nasty/ruthless streak all good managers have. He was too nice – @cooper_derren

Absolutely no overt passion or enthusiasm. Out of his depth. Bizarre and feeble appointment in the first place by the owner, who has to carry his share of the responsibility for the parlous state we’re in – @rthorpe639

Matt Bloomfield or Steve Cooper for an outside shot – @JoePearson91585

Question really is which self respecting manager would want to come? Most will look and think nah im not working like that – @MattAll82111727

Definite no to Karl Robinson. Michael Duff might be a good call (no relation btw) but would he want it? – @eomonnduff

Dave Challinor, watch this space! – @partridge8706

Karl Robinson is a no brainer – @ScottyBoiSCO

My wish list...1) Dave Challinor, 2 Luke Garrard, 3 Stuart Maynard, 4 Robbie Savage – @cooper_derren

Karl Robinson could not even get Salford promoted, so no chance with these players – @62madmanDj

Rob Edwards, good with young players – @Ryan19Stephens

You could get Carlo GuardiKlopp and they’d still struggle with the set up at this club. The chairman needs a long, hard look in the mirror at his own actions before he appoints the next manager – @ShiellB1

Andy Edwards. Currently Notts County assistant. Did well working with young players in the England youth teams and managed the U20s. Loved him as a player and was an excellent leader as Posh captain – @scook_6

Should be Dave Challinor. Will be either Karl Robinson or Robbie Savage – @MrD23English

We do not want Karl Robinson. He is not right for this club – @neilJoh68701910

Let’s take Neil Harris off Cambridge – @steffandancy

Eddie Howe is out of work lol – @amwright40

Thank the lord Luke Warm has gone. Let’s have Karl Robinson. I’m sure he’d make London Road a fun place again – @Werrington2

Right decision as the performances had completely stagnated. Dave Challinor would be my pick – @JefferiesTom
