Peterborough United boss pipped to major award, but the goalkeeper picked up a prize at Wembley Stadium
An unbeaten season, a title and a promotion wasn’t enough to win the Women’s National League manager of the season award for Peterborough United boss Jake Poole.
Poole who has now taken Posh to their highest level of football in the club’s history was nominated, but pipped to the prize by Fulham’s Steve Jaye. Fulham achieved an identical record to Posh, at the same standard, while winning the Division One South East award.

Fulham won 20 and drew 2 of their 22 matches to win the title by 7 points. Posh also won 20 and drew 2 of their 22 Midlands Division One games to win their title by 8 points.
Posh scored 87 goals compared to Fulham’s 73 and finished with a positive goal difference of 75 compared to Fulham’s plus 55.

The presentation night took place in the Grand Hall at Wembley Stadium prior to the Women’s FA Cup Final.
Posh goalkeeper Neive Corry picked up a ‘golden glove’ award for keeping a remarkable 15 clean sheets in those 22 league games.
Corry told the Posh website: "It was a brilliant experience to receive the award at Wembley Stadium! It was an incredible season for the team and to help contribute to that success was great.
"It means a lot to me. There are a lot of people who have helped me in the last few years, none more so than my dad, who has been my coach. He has really improved my game and it has been brilliant to work with him.
"I still look back on the photos from the celebrations from last season with a smile on my face. I am really looking forward to playing at a new level with the team next season."
