Peterborough United add League Two side to pre-season friendly schedule
Peterborough United will travel to League Two side Colchester United for a friendly on Tuesday, July 21 (745pm kick off).
The two sides met in pre-season last year with the game ending in a 2-2 draw with Sam Hughes and Declan Frith on target for Posh. Hughes picked up a series Achilles tendon injury during the game and didn’t make a single first-team appearance in the 2025-26 season as a result.
The ‘Us’ are managed by Danny Cowley and finished 12th in Sky Bet League Two last season.
Posh are in Spain for a week immediately prior to tackling Colchester.
It’s the second Posh pre-season friendly to be announced. Posh are hosting Championship club West Bromwich Albion on Saturday August 1, a week before Luke Williams’ side will open their competitive season with a first round Carabao Cup tie.
