On loan forward reckons Peterborough United should have scored 10 against Cobblers!
On loan Chelsea forward Jimmy-Jay Morgan reckons Peterborough United should have scored 10 goals against Northampton Town in their League One derby day clash at the Weston Homes Stadium on Saturday!
Posh missled a glut of scoring chances against a team reduced to 10 men in the 10th minute and had to settle for a 2-1 win, albeit one that finally lifted them out of the relegation zone.

Morgan hit the outside of the post in the second-half on a day when Posh delivered 31 shots on goal. Harry Leonard scored both Posh goals in the minutes immediately before and after half-time.
"It was a frantic derby game that started so quickly,” Morgan said on the Posh Plus service. “The red card changed everything and even scrambled us a bit, but it should have been 10-0 or 10-1. We could have been a lot better on the ball with regard to the detail when we were shooting or even on the final ball, but we are buzzing about the win.
“The first goal did come at a perfect time just before the break. It was a high level pass from Archie Collins and Harry Leonard finished as you’d expect. The instruction at half-time was to stay patient and not to get frustrated. We had all the time in the world on the ball and we just wanted to be clinical and ruthless so there was a little disappointment with the final scoreline because, as I said, we should have had 10.
"We are our own harshest critics and we have started second halves slowly at times this season so it was good to score again quickly, but we wanted a statement win.
"We did end up making hard work of it. I had a couple of decent chances and we missed opportunities to play one more pass and give someone a tap-in.
"They didn’t come into play really until we helped them. I hated watching the game from the bench for the final 10 minutes as I get so anxious.
"At least we are out of the bottom four, somewhere we should never be because of the players we have and the way we play. Hopefully this will be the start of a good run.”
Posh have now won back-to-back League One games for the third time this season, but they have not yet won three in a row. Posh are at bottom club Port Vale next Saturday (December 20) when they should be backed a large away following as tickets have been slashed to a maximum of a tenner for adults.
Vale haven’t won in League One since a 2-0 success at Barnsley at the end of September, a run of nine games, although they did gain a creditable 2-2 draw at Luton Town on Saturday.
