Peterborough United will be boosted by the presence of Callum Morton for the first time since his arrival as they travel to face Birmingham City in a Championship fixture at St Andrews this evening (January 25, 7:45pm).

Posh will also have the chance to record their first league double of the season after dispatching the Blues 3-0 at home in September.

Birmingham come into the match amidst rumours about manager Lee Bowyer’s position and unrest from the fans at the poor ownership and lack of direction the club seems to have.

Burrows fires in another low ball and panic ensues. Marriott and JCH both throw themselves at it but Etheridge gets enough on it. Two great moves in succession.

Great save down low from Etheridge. He was given a chance to shoot first time from a close angle by Burrows low cross. He was found by Poku, who has been excellent.

Posh learning not to kick the ball out of play in the final third. Birmingham look less of a threat because of it straightaway. Posh defending in numbers and doing well to close the space.

Marriott gifts the ball away and all of a sudden Posh are broken on. Ball over the top to Hogan, goes past Beevers like he isn’t there, crosses to Jutkiewicz, who has a great chance on the edge of the six-yard box. Looks like the dive of Kent does enough to put him off. Shows what can happen when Posh are sloppy.

Deep corner, Beevers heads on but it hits the back of JCH and Birmingham clear. Norburn shells the rebound out of play

More good football from Posh, Thompson brings the ball out, feeds Norburn, who puts Burrows in behind. Cross blocked, corner.

Again, Posh find plenty of space on the break, just a shame that Taylor chooses an ambitious 40-yard shot over finding Mumba. He’s made a number of great runs tonight but has been ignored.

Posh look happy to sit back, not quite the same level as at West Brom but Birmingham are being allowed to bring the ball forward. Does mean there is a lot of space for Posh when they have the ball but they need to use it better.

Poor effort from Woods, straight into Burrows in the wall.

JCH caught on the ball deep in his own half, why he was back there I don’t know. Norburn ha to come and cover but completely wipes out his man. Free-kick 25 yards from goal.
