Posh come into this off the back of another disappointing away performance at Coventry, losing 3-0, but can take heart from the fact that they were exceptional in their last home outing against Birmingham, winning 3-0 on that occasion.

Bournemouth, meanwhile, come into the match looking to reclaim the top spot they lost to West Brom last night (September 28). The Cherries are yet to lose in the league this year and have a range of attacking threats Posh need to be wary of.

More prolonged spells on the ball from Posh. You get the feeling they need a bit more movement though in the forward area to cause Bournemouth regular problems but Dembele has looked like he has the beating of whoever he comes up against when he gets the ball.

Posh have definitely had their moments in this and look a solid defensive unit at the moment.

Close again from Posh. Dembele pushed in the back by Stacey just inside the Bournemouth half. He takes the free-kick quickly to Taylor, who takes a touch and unleashed a bullet fron about 40 yards. It’s arrowing towards to goal but flashes just past Travers’ post as he backpedaled.

That looked a great chance for Posh. Ronnie Edwards keeps the ball under pressure at the back. He finds Burrows out wide, who brings the ball forwards and puts in an early cross. Grant throws himself at it on the spot, it looks as if Cahill is just able to get there as the contact is onto clean, and deflect it away from goal.

Example of the high press there paying off. Billing, who is pushing incredibly high, and Solanke pressure Edwards into a mistake and they win the ball back. Kent has to step in and put his foot through the ball to clear.

Posh keep Bournemouth penned in there and get a third corner after Burrows back post cross was headed out. The move breaks down when Posh pick up a ball headed out of the box. Grant is slipped in on the right but the pass is just too strong from Norburn and it goes out of play before he can catch up to it.

Corner again, Burrows palys a 1-2 with Dembele and the cross is poor, JCH rescues it on the left, finds Taylor on the edge of the box. His shot is deflected out by Lerma.

First Posh corner. Burrows to take.

David Brooks is showing al his class Butler is no match for him. Shows him a clean pair of heels again and slides a low cross for Stacey arriving in the box. Cut out by Kent but he can only blast the ball at Dembele. It falls for Rogers but he can inly put his shot well over the bar.
