Posh have lost their first two competitive games of the campaign by an aggregate of 7-0, but hope to have star forward Siriki Dembele back in action against Wayne Rooney’s Rams at the Weston Homes Stadium.

LIVE BLOG: Posh vs Derby
Key Events
- 2-1 L
- Marriott starts, Dembele on the bench
- Szmodics absent due to the birth of his child
- Posh still searching for first goal of the season
- Derby under transfer embargo and have a number of youngsters filling out the squad
- Derby drew 1-1 with Huddersfield on the opening day
More good hold-up play from JCH, he plays it out to Marriott, who tries to cross it for him as he arrives in the box but Davies is there to clear.
Lively start for Posh as Marriott immediately closes down Kelle Roos when he takes too long to pick out a pass. Ward picks up the scuff and plays it to Butler on the right but cross is well overhit.
Teams out
The atmosphere is really building now, looks a good turnout for an early kick-off in TV. This is what we’ve been waiting eight years for!
4-4-2 or 4-2-3-1?
It’’ be interesting to see the formation. There are the players there to play 4 -4-2 with Randall and Ward on the wings but my personal guess would be a 3-4-1-2 with Butler and Ward wingbacks, Grant in a two with Norburn and Randall sitting in behind JCH and Marriott. Let’s see.

Marriott starts!
The headline news is that Jack Marriott starts, a debut second time around against his old club. A surprise starter, he’s come in to replace Szmodics, which is likely to be because of the birth of his baby daughter on Thursday.
Dembele is on the bench and Taylor not included.
