Posh come straight back and Szmodics chases the clearance all the way to the Luton box, where he is just eased off it by Naismith. No chance he was fouled.

Quiet start, the ball has hardly been in play actually but Luton find the first opening with a tricky run from Clark down the left, last ditch header out from Beevers.

Welcome to the Championship that was. This is not Posh’s best side of course but Luton look so much sharper and have hardly given Posh a look in. They have so many options when they pick up possession, meanwhile Posh have just JCH, who the ball has been bouncing off. A real grind for Posh that half but the disappointment will be that they only conceded from an innocuous ball in.

That looked a dangerous move, the dinked cross picks out Onyendinma, who is smaller than Pym, out jumps him but he is offside and the header goes over.

Corner is cleared out by Tomlinson but Szmodics fouled Cornick on the edge of the box. A push in the back.

Campbell cuts through Posh into the box, gets to the byline and cuts in back for Adebayo. His shot is deflected side by Grant.

Another good ball in from the left, this time from Butler, JCH is waiting on the spot but he doesn’t manage to connect, perhaps a lack of sharpness. It allows Sluga to come in and dive on top of.

Nice play from Posh. Tomlinson and Szmodics play a 1-2 on the edge of the box, it’s a lovely turn to get him away from Bree and he shoots to the near post and it’s beaten away by Sluga.
