Guess who? Peterborough United have made their first signing of the Luke Williams era

But his name will remain a mystery until the end of the current season.

Posh chairman Darragh MacAnthony made the revelation on the latest edition of his ‘Hard Truth’ podcast. He gave some clues during the broadcast.

"We’ve signed someone on a pre-contract,” MacAnthony stated. “Someone is joining us when he is out of contract and before he turns 24.

"I can’t say who it is, but he will be a key piece for next season. He’s in a promotion race now and he regularly plays 50 games a year.

"It’s not a goalkeeper, centre-back, winger or a striker si it must be a full-back,” MacAnthony added, probably jokingly.

MacAnthony also revealed Posh will be hiring a set-piece coach in the summer.
