Free agents from last season's Championship clubs who could be of interest to Peterborough United

Former Peterborough United pair Andrew Hughes and Dai Cornell are expected to stay at Championship side Preston North End.

Defender Hughes is thought to have signed a new one-year contract at Deepdale, although the club have yet to confirm it. The 33 year-old has made close to 300 appearances for Preston after moving there from Posh in June, 2018.

Goalkeeper Cornell has made just 23 appearances for North End after transferring from Posh in June, 2022, but the club are keen for him to stay as back-up to number one Daniel Iversen.

Preston released their retained list on Tuesday. Championship clubs have until this weekend to follow suit.
