Former Peterborough United winger wants to put on a show and get the fans out of their seats
Peterborough United sold two unwanted wingers last week, and they’ve been speaking to their new clubs.
Abraham Odoh has joined promotion hopeful Salford City, while Cian Hayes has returned to his former club Rochdale.

Odoh has signed a two-year deal with Salford after the clubs agreed an undisclosed fee.
Odoh said: “I’m so happy with the move. I can’t wait to get started. The club has ambition and the plans set out for made me want to come here. The style of play the manager wants suits me. ”I like to get fans off their seats. That’s what I’m about. I have plenty of experience in League Two so I know what the level is all about, but I want to get back to League One. I know what that league is all about as well. My aim is always to score and assist and I’d like to give the fans a show and help them enjoy their football.”
Odoh, who joined Posh from Harrogate Town in July 2024, scored 11 goals in 69 appearances, 25 of those appearances were from the substitutes’ bench.
Hayes joined Posh from League Two side Fleetwood Town in July 2024. His form during a loan spell at then National League Rochdale had persuaded Posh to take a punt on a wide player who scored some outstanding goals.
But in two years at Posh, Hayes never really threatened to hold down a first-team place. Hayes made 78 appearances in all competitions for Posh, scoring seven goals, but only 33 of those appearances were starts.
Hayes said: “I’m buzzing to be back at Rochdale. I loved it here before and I’m on board with the way the new manager wants to play. I hope I can make them cheer like I did last time. I love this club. It will always have a place in my heart.”
Six players remain on the Posh transfer list. They are Declan Frith, George Nevett, Donay O’Brien-Brady, Klaidi Lolos, Brad Ihionvien and Chris Conn-Clarke.
