Classy Peterborough United signing earns a tribute from his former manager
Wrexham boss Phil Parkinson has paid tribute to Tom O’Connor following his transfer to Peterborough United.
O’Connor signed a three-year deal at the Weston Homes Stadium last week after his contract with Wrexham was cancelled by mutual consent.

The 27 year-old spent a successful time on loan at Posh last season before a serious hamstring injury ended his stay prematurely.
Parkinson is pleased O’Connor quickly found himself another club and described a player who made 115 appearances for Wrexham while helping the club to two promotions as ‘a class act’. He also revealed other clubs had asked about the Irishman’s availability.
“We wanted Tommy to be settled as soon as possible, but he's been a great lad to have around,” Parkinson told the North West Pioneer. "He's a class player who can play in a lot of positions and Peterborough moved quickly to secure the signing.
"There were other clubs ringing us about him, but I think Peterborough have made a very shrewd acquisition while one or two other clubs were kind of maybe hedging their bets because he'd been injured.
"But I think Peterborough know what a great player they've got in Tommy and we wish him all the best.
"He's one of these players who's unfazed in big moments and big games, and I think we saw that in the promotions with him in the team.
"He was always a key player for us in a number of positions."
