New goalkeeper for Peterborough Sports who need their A game for the rest of the season to make sure they stay in National League North
Peterborough Sports need to bring their A game to the last 14 matches of season to ensure another season of National League North football at PIMS Park.
That’s the view of Sports boss Phil Brown whose side currently sit two points and one place above the relegation zone ahead of a crucial eight-day period.

The city side are at fourth-placed Radcliffe on Saturday before a big match at relegation rivals Bedford Town next Tuesday (February 24), two teams they beat at PIMS Park earlier in the season.
Sports will keen to rack up some points before leaders South Shields come to town on Saturday, February 28.
Former Peterborough United striker Shaun Jeffers could make his full Sports debut at Radcliffe, but he’s ineligible to play next Tuesday as he is on loan from Bedford.
Sports have signed goalkeeper Harley Price from Derby County on loan for a month. The 19 year-old is part of the Derby Under 21 squad and was on loan at Southern Premier Division Central side Worcester City earlier this season.
Brown told Peterborough Community Radio: “The tale of the season since I came in four months ago has been inconsistency. We've had our ups and downs, but we now have to bring our A game to the party for the next 14 games to make sure we are still in this division next season
“The commitment of our players can’t be questioned, but it needs to go up a notch again. We demand the world of players at this time of the season.
"We could put all concerns about a ‘squeaky bum’ finish to the season by winning the three games we have in quick succession, but first and foremost we have to be ready for Radcliffe who are having a good season
“They will be smarting after losing at PIMS Park in November after one of our better performances. Their pitch is conducive to good football and our squad is looking strong. It could be time for Shaun Jeffers to start as he made an impact for 45 minutes as a sub in our last game.”
Key defender Connor Wood is also keen to return to the starting line-up after recovering from injury, while club captain Dan Jarvis could return to the matchday squad.
Sports have let striker Mark Jones and Ryan Fryatt leave on a month’s loan to lower level St Ives Town, but Brown hasn’t ruled out the experienced duo making an impact with their parent club before the season is out.
Brown added: “Mark and Ryan need minutes. Ryan has already been out on loan, but he didn’t play enough. Who knows what’s around the corner. They could be back playing for us in the final weeks of the season.”
Fryatt spent time on loan at Spalding United earlier this season.
