Netherton United are off the mark after a trouble start to the season, Girls United on cloud nine
It’s been a troubled start to the season for Netherton United Ladies.
The first team folded and withdrew from the East Midlands League, but the reserve side has kept going and they were rewarded with a first point of the Cambs Division Two season on Sunday.

Regan Ford was the two-goal star of a 3-3 home draw with Cambourne with her 87th minute equaliser securing that precious point. Kiana Birch also scored.
In the same division Whittlesey Athletic extended their perfect playing to three games with a 2-1 derby win at Stanground Cardea Sports Reserves. Jenna Nairn and Katie Barber scored for the winners who are up to fourth.
Girls United continued their strong form in the Division Three Cup. They made it three wins in three outings with a 9-0 success over Stanground Cardea Sports Development. Gabriella Kamoda scored four goals with Millie McLaughlin claiming a hat-trick. Mia Thompson and new signing Libby Scott also scored.
Oundle Town won for the first time in the cup, 4-3 against Glinton & Northborough. Two-goal Sascha Smith was unlucky to finish on the losing side.
In Division One a run of four draws to start the season for Deeping Rangers came to end, unfortunately with a defeat as title chasing Godmanchester Rovers proved too strong. It finished 5-2 to the team with a 100 per cent winning record. Dita Upesjure and Catherine Hobday scored second half goals for Deeping.
In the East Midlands Premier Division Stamford AFC still seek their first win after a 4-0 home reverse at the hands of leaders Mansfield Town.
But Stanground Cardea Sports claimed a second win in Division One South, 1-0 over Wellingborough Town courtesy of a Bobbie Cook strike.
