Lots of goals and lots of money raised by the Posh legends and their fans

An impressive £6,850 was raised for Sue Ryder at the Posh Legends charity match at the ABAX Stadium on Sunday.

‘King’ Ken Charlery, Grant McCann, Mark Tyler, Marcus Ebdon, Jack Collison, Ryan Semple, and Dave Farrell were among the Posh stars who took part alongside fans who had paid for the privilege in an event organised by club shirt sponsors Mick George Limited.

The two-hour match finished 17-10 as defences entered the charitable mood. Charlery re-lived his glory days by popping a goal in from 40 yards.

Kate Bement from Sue Ryder said: “Thank you to everyone at Mick George Ltd for organising such a fantastic event and to Peterborough United for being the perfect host.
