The club train at Hampton Gardens every Wednesday (8-9pm).

A club spokesman said: “Whether you're an ex-player looking to get back into the dressing room environment, or totally new to the sport and wanting to improve your fitness, there's a place for you in our set-up. We cater for social training as well as competitive league structures.

“Walking football is the fastest growing format of the beautiful game and at ICA Sports, we're building a vibrant, competitive, and welcoming community for players aged 45+.

“Walking football started in the UK in 2011 and was created to help older players keep enjoying the game in a safer and more inclusive way.

“ICA Walking Football Club has been created with two core aims. Firstly, we want to build a welcoming club where players can develop friendships, enjoy the benefits of regular social interaction, support positive mental wellbeing and improve their general fitness through sport.

“Secondly, we want to provide a competitive pathway for more serious players who wish to test themselves in a committed team environment and compete at a high standard for older men through the different Peterborough League walking football league levels.”
