Days after hottest March day for years - could we really see snow this Easter?
Just days after the hottest Peterborough March day for years, there is a chance the city could see a flurry of snow this Easter.
Yesterday the mercury soared to 22.6C in Peterborough, giving people the chance to meet up with friends and family outdoors for the first time in months.
The temperature meant yesterday was the hottest March day in the city since Trevor Robbins Pratt - from Peterborough Weather Watch - had recorded since his records began in 2006.
But today cooler temperatures have arrived, leading some to predict a ‘White Easter.’
Trevor said there was a chance of some ‘wintry showers’ this weekend. He said; “It will certainly be much cooler for the next few days.
“There is perhaps a risk of a light wintry shower or two through the early hours of Monday morning before sunrise.
“But other than that, i don’t see anything more significant at the moment.”
